Karen Aicher, AGPCNP

Karen Aicher, AGPCNP, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of clinical nursing experience. At Advanced Pain & Spine Management in Bloomingdale and Arlington Heights, Illinois, she is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care centered on the individual needs of each patient and their family.

Karen earned her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Michigan, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan. Her extensive clinical background has allowed her to care for patients across a wide range of medical settings and develop a comprehensive, collaborative approach to health care.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Karen spent many years at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Her experience includes working as a diabetes educator, where she helped patients understand diabetes management, glucose monitoring, medications, insulin, and injections. She also coordinated with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to help patients confidently manage their health at home.

Karen’s nursing experience also spans medical-surgical care, behavioral health, endoscopy, mother-baby care, orthopedics, and pediatric oncology. She values clear communication, strong patient-provider relationships, and personalized care that supports patients throughout adulthood and as they age.
